The Mary Cosgrove Dolphin Art Gallery is seeking artwork that uses LIGHT as the primary medium for artistic expression, whether as a source, visual effect or subject. We invite artists to submit work that plays with light, transforming our gallery into an ambient space, for Worcester State University’s first ever Glow Show. Self-illuminated sculptures, blacklight reactive or day-glo paintings, stained glass, and multimedia installations are just a few examples of how artists can use light as a medium to create. Our goal is to celebrate LIGHT and highlight its ability to portray complex ideas, emotions and aesthetics.
The subject matter and medium can be anything that is self illuminated or plays with light in an interesting way. A limited number of blacklights will be supplied by the gallery, but we encourage artists to supply their own lightsource(s)

"Ryan's work explores the raw, gritty textures of the urban sprawl, mixed with the vibrant, polychromatic landscape of psychedelia, creating a vast dichotomy that emulates the thin veil separating reality from imagination. He is constantly experimenting and evolving his creative process with new techniques and styles, embracing a fusion of organic and digital mediums, while utilizing tools both new and old. Ryan's pursuit is to make art more interactive, inclusive and accessible, dissolving boundaries between artist and spectator. He believes in radical self expression as a human birthright, and encourages creativity as a therapeutic practice essential to a happy, healthy life."
